PC tech Tutor
Job Details:
Part-time, 3-15 hrs/wk
$25 – 60 / hr, 1099 Contract position
Locations:
Seattle, WA & Remote (mixed)
Bainbridge Island, WA & Remote (mixed)
United States (fully remote position)
Job Description:
Our Tutors teach home and business clients how to use their computers and mobile devices. Our main aim is to simplify their lives, save them time at their jobs, and help them enjoy working with their devices. We are growing and looking for local and remote employees with strong people skills and a talent for solving problems.
Candidates should possess the following (in order of importance):
Teaching & Client Support Skills:
- Teaching degree, or equivalent experience (working help desk, tutoring, etc.);
- Patient and pleasant demeanor, but assertive enough to lead and have good boundaries;
- Understands and consistently demonstrates the fundamentals of good teaching techniques;
- Ability to work with individuals no matter their technical need or ability;
- Likes and is empathetic to the needs of seniors.
- Entrepreneurial spirit and flexibility.
Technical Skills
- Advanced user of PC/Windows 10, Microsoft Office 365 and GSuite;
- Deep user-level expertise in a wide range of software apps/programs;
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve most common computer issues without outside assistance (wiping a computer, fixing common email and internet connectivity issues, tweaking system preferences and settings, etc.);
- Has an intermediate to advanced understanding of computer hardware and peripherals, and can explain them to a beginning user in non-technical terms;
- Up to date on latest PC/Windows hardware and software news;
- A broad range of experience with a variety of apps, programs, and websites;
- Cross-platform and IT/networking experience a plus.
Other prerequisites:
- Updated PC and smartphone;
- Consistent and high-speed wifi available during all working hours.
- A dedicated and private office space where you can be uninterrupted while working with clients.
- Reliable transportation (if providing in-person tutoring).
Mac tech Tutor

virtual assistant
Job Details:
Part-time, 3-15 hrs/wk
$16 – 35 / hr, 1099 Contract position

Job Description:
The primary role of the Virtual Assistant (VA) is to help individuals or businesses with tasks remotely from the comfort of their home office utilizing their own computer and smartphone. This may include, but is not limited to, answering phone calls, scheduling on behalf of the client, communicating with client’s customers, and other administrative tasks such as document creation or social media management. We are growing and looking for Virtual Assistants with strong people skills and a talent for solving problems.
Candidates should possess the following (in order of importance):
Client Support Skills:
- Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills using a variety of communication styles and media when conducting meetings and while using a computer;
- Excellent customer service and leadership skills while maintaining a pleasant demeanor when enacting appropriate boundaries;
- Work both independently and as part of a team;
- Is highly organized, efficient, and has the ability to multi-task;
- Accustomed to being a self-starter and has an entrepreneurial spirit.
Technical Skills
- Understands and consistently demonstrates the fundamentals of modern office skills and the software involved in a modern, digitized office setting;
- Ability to research, troubleshoot and solve many common computer issues with little outside assistance;
- Advanced keyboarding skills to facilitate quick communication;
- Note-taking skills, and consistent use of handwritten or digital notes.
Other prerequisites:
- Updated computer and smartphone;
- Experience working in an office environment in an administrative manner;
- Consistent and high-speed wifi available during all working hours.
- A dedicated and private office space where you can be uninterrupted while working with clients or DHM team.
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance (if providing in-person assistance).
