The Jetsons promised us we would have helpful robots all around us by now. Yet, how often do our devices actually remind us of helpful stuff when we are out running errands? Welcome to the Jet Age, with Google Keep!
Remind me to stop at the store when I’m nearby
Here’s how:
- Download Google Keep to your smartphone
- Log in using your Google credentials (either on your phone, or on the Google Keep website)
- Make a grocery list
- Click on the “Remind Me” button on the lower left of each list (bell icon)
- Choose “Pick a Place” from the drop down menu
- If the popup comes up that Google wants to know your location, click “Allow”
- Start to type in the store (or place) that you want to be reminded of your grocery list. Choose the correct one from the drop down menu.
Now, every time you drive near this location, you will get an alarm on your phone, reminding you of the things you still need to get off your list.
It’s no Rosey the Robot, but close, right?
