How do I access my iPhone photos from my PC?

iPhones are the most popular phones in the world, and PCs are the most popular computer. So how do PC users access their iPhone photos? It’s a popular question!

How to get iPhone photos on a PC
There are two ways: The “easy” way (but harder in the long term), and the “harder” way (but easier in the long term). Both of these require the use of iCloud to store and backup your Photos. If you don’t currently use this, you can turn this on in your iCloud settings by following these instructions.

Once you have done that, proceed to the below instructions:

The “Easy” Way:

  1. Open www.icloud.com on any web browser on your PC.
  2. Log in using your Apple ID and Password. (Tip: Keep your mobile phone nearby, as you will likely have to enter a six-digit temporary passcode texted to you to ensure your identity.)
  3. Click on the Photos icon. It looks just like the one on your iPhone.

Voilá! There are your photos. BUT — you will have to log in to iCloud every time.

The “Harder” Way:

  1. Download iCloud app from the Microsoft App Store on your PC.
  2. Log in using your Apple ID and Password. (Tip: Keep your mobile phone nearby, as you will likely have to enter a six-digit temporary passcode texted to you to ensure your identity.)
  3. Follow the setup instructions to view your iPhone photos directly in Windows Explorer without having to log in every time.

Which way will you use?
